Did you know that Johnny DePalma once, while opening a birthday present from his sister, accidentally stabbed himself in the upper left thumb with the blunt end of a #2 pencil? The pencil-lead quickly broke off inside, leaving him with a small bluish-black tattoo’d dot which remains ever-noticeable today.
Perhaps, one might say, writing is just in his blood.
Others however, quick to dismiss such a foolish notion, might remark that "graphite," and not "writing," now runs in his blood.
